A big part of prepping for your engagement photo session is deciding on locations!

I love shooting new places, so think of places that are unique to the two of you.

Where did you meet?

Where was your first date?

On a perfect Saturday or Sunday, where would you go and what would you do?

Sessions that feel more like a date with me as the third wheel are the best and will make the experience so much more intimate.

I also love shooting at the client’s home for lifestyle sessions. What better place to showcase your love then where you spend the most time?

QUESTIONNAIRE:

If you haven’t filled it out already, here’s a questionnaire to help me get to know you as a couple!

I love getting to know all my couples and brainstorming ideas to decide on perfect locations.

Keep in mind that it’s your responsibility to book any locations that might require an appointment as well as paying fees associated with that location.

The Best Locations for Engagement Photos

NEW ORLEANS, LA

There is no fee associated with NOLA! This city as a whole has to be one of my favorite locations. There are tons of colors, textures and options to choose from.

They have great nature settings as well as city settings, such as hotels and monuments. This is a great option if you want more of an adventurous and dynamic feel to your session!

LSU AgCenter Botanical Gardens – Baton Rouge

I have a photography pass until August 2020 so there is no charge associated with this spot. However, I do recommend that if you are shooting here, make time to do an hour at the gardens and then time to drive to Downtown Baton Rouge after, so you can get multiple looks. Depending on the time of year, it varies what the area has to offer.
